Growing up in this rural town, Chanel learned early on the importance of discovering your purpose and finding your niche in life. Balancing the demands of work, being a new parent, Chanel developed a deep appreciation for the power of purpose and passion. It was during this time that she studied some of the most renowned candle businesses in the United States and around the world, drawing inspiration from their commitment to quality and craftsmanship. She knew that she wanted to bring that same dedication to the Irmo, SC area and beyond.

For Chanel, candle-making is more than just a craft—it’s a deeply personal and intimate process. Before selecting scents, she carefully considers the purpose of each candle, the ambiance it will create, and the space it will occupy in a home. She doesn’t just create signature candles, wickless candles, and room sprays—she designs experiences that elevate the atmosphere of every room. Beyond the art of candle-making, Chanel also dedicates herself to building the Scentful Wishes brand, including researching and creating her own website to connect with customers and share her passion.

The spark that ignited Chanel’s love for candle-making began with a very special moment: creating candles for her sister’s baby shower. Chanel was on the hunt for a meaningful, unique gift that would leave a lasting impression—something that wouldn't simply gather dust as another trinket. After exploring DIY ideas, she stumbled upon candles and realized they could serve as a beautiful, symbolic gift for the celebration. She asked guests to light their candles when they learned of her niece’s birth, turning a simple candle into a heartfelt memory. The response was overwhelming—the candles, with their signature scents of Sweet Pea and Lavender Love, were a huge hit.

What started as a one-time gesture quickly turned into something much more. Chanel was soon inundated with requests for more candles and suggestions to turn her passion into a business. And that's how Scentful Wishes was born. Today, Chanel's passion for creating meaningful, personalized candles continues to inspire and bring joy to countless homes, turning everyday moments into unforgettable experiences.
